monoprinting

This is a monoprint that I did for Daddy's birthday.
This is different to normal monoprinting because we made shapes and marks in the wet ink with
strange objects that we collected.

Balsa planes

Wicker daggers

I made these wicker daggers at  Staverton show.
There was a lady who charged £1 to make a dagger, a sword, a tree and a dragon fly but it was £20 to make a basket. I really loved the workshop because I love weaving, carving and working with wood. The objects were made out of long pieces of steamed willow shoots.

birds nests

These are two birds nests. I found them at my granny's house when I was collecting firewood.
They are very old and the top one is waterproof because it has a piece of plastic stuck in
the bottom.
the nest at the bottom is interesting because the bird used unravelled blue string as
lining and it also used some garden twine to hold it together.

dots

I went to the Yayoi Kusama show at  the Tate Modern. You could make the show as well as the artist because you could stick big dots on the wall. At first the walls were completely white and everything in the room was white. Then you  were allowed to go in and stick coloured dots on every object or surface in the room. The room was called the obliteration room.
